He is currently the executive director and general manager of Sichuan Minjiang Logistics Co., Ltd. (Qingbaijiang International Timber Trading Center).He led the team to build the largest China-Europe Railway Express (Chengdu) International Timber Distribution Center, create the operation and management mode of "China-Europe Railway Express + Park" and "Management Committee + Company", and set up the only National Forestry Industry Demonstration Park in Chengdu. Russ Taylor started his career in forestry (5 years at Northwood, Houston, BC - in the 1970s) and then moved into lumber sales, marketing and custom cutting (7 years at Interfor, Vancouver, BC - in the 1980s) before starting his consulting career.
Since 1988, Mr. Taylor has conducted wood products market analysis/intelligence and business assessment/investment analysis on timber/lumber for global industry clients. He (normally) travels extensively to key producing, exporting and importing countries in China, Asia, Russia, Europe, the Southern Hemisphere and within North America to obtain first -hand insights.
During his 28 years operating International WOOD MARKETS Group, he created several “must-have” newsletters and various multi-client reports that involve strategic insights and outlooks for global markets. The business was sold to FEA in 2017 and included a three-year employment contract.

A majority of the market reports are penned by Holzkurier's editor-in-chief DI Gerd Ebner. He has been working for the Österreichischer Agrarverlag since 1996. Until 2001, Carinthia-born Ebner was responsible for establishing the timber specialist group on the German market. This function brought him to almost all continents on his many business trips.
