The 5th GWT China will take place in Shanghai, China, from 15 to 16 September 2015, following the remarkable success of four previous conferences. 

China Global Wood Trade Conference (GWT China) is an annual event where global wood traders meet in China. It’s an extraordinary opportunity to learn the latest Chinese and global wood markets information, and to expand the business network.

Established to facilitate and promote information exchange and business cooperation for global wood trade community in 2011, GWT China takes place in one of China’s major port cities each year. Till now, four cities, which are Tianjin, Taicang, Guangzhou and Qingdao, have witnessed the remarkable success of previous GWT China Conferences. Every year, GWT China attracts more than 350 participants, including wood suppliers, importers, wholesalers, distributors, manufacturers as well as trade associations, industry experts, government officials and representatives of international organizations, from more than 20 countries.

The first day of the 5th GWT China includes morning plenary session to discuss about the current situation and future trends of China and global wood markets, and two parallel sessions in the afternoon respectively on hardwood and softwood supplying countries market information. The second day is a business matching & small exhibition session. As a conference gathering global wood traders, the participants can expand their business network and find future business partners by talking directly to the companies’ directors. Also it’s a good opportunity to exhibit the products to promote the brand and increase the popularity.

Following the conference, from 17 to 20 September 2015, there will be an optional 4-day China Wood Industry Tour. A group of maximum 25 participants will go to Shanghai area, Taicang and Wuhan to visit the container & log ports, log yards, warehouses, sawmills, industry parks, processing mills etc. Participants can also meet some outstanding members of China Timber and Wood Products Distribution Association (CTWPDA).
